Charity shop etiquette?
Question:

Charity shop etiquette?
Right, I'm having a massive sort out and have two binbags of stuff that I want to give to the animal rescue charity shop. The thing is, although the stuff is all clean and in good condition, it isn't ironed. Am I supposed to iron everything because if so, I really can't be bothered....

Answers:

No I don't think you have to. To be honest, I think they will appreciate any donations as long as they are in good condition. I would hand it in as it is.

Answers:

I think as long as the clothes are clean blonde thats all that matters. Most shops tend to have an iron and board so they can press them when they decide to put the stuff out.

They usually do say to iron it first but I don't think many people bother. I used to work in a charity shop some years ago (best job I ever had!) and we had an iron and ironing board out the back so that we could give anything badly creased a quick smooth over. It being clean is much more important.

Answers:

Nah - all the charity shops I've seen have one of those steamer things that other clothes shops have so they put the stuff on hangers and power steam the creases out.
