Big new shinny Peacocks
opening in my local shopping complex...what are their clothes / shoes like?
Should I be excited?
Peacocks id personally say, is a step higher than Primark. It sells a range of things, from clothes, to underwear/nightwear, to shoes and jewellery, to small cheap n cheerful gadgets like.. shower radio's, aaaand toilettry bags, just random bits.. they also do a boys/men section..
The quality of the clothes are OK, and they try and keep up to date with the latest fashion too, sometimes find some alright stuff in there.. things are a tad more expensive than Primark, but slightly better quality, but not as good as your average River Island High St shop..
Its a good shop if your wanting cheap holiday clothes :D

Didnt even answer your Q properly.. shoes are OK, some quite fashionable.. have a range of boots, then pumps, they have the leopard prints in atm.. and also the patent wooden looking peep toes... you have to hunt though cos sometimes they mix the fashionable shoes with the more 'older' womens shoes :-p
As for clothes.. they're ok I guess.. Ive bought a few items from there in the past but never made an outfit from there.. they'll do the odd one or 2 nice party dresses, they have loads of punk-ish tops in at the mo too.. depends what takes your fancy really

i LOVE their jeans - im a size 18 so cant wear designer ones and i find a lot of the ones in NL etc too thick, or too baggy around the bum (yes i'm talking about you, Next!) or an odd length for me (like DP's) but i find theirs perfect - and only £15 a pair, last time i went i bought a few pairs. I also bought the worlds most comfortable plain brown, thick, long sleeved tshirt for £5, wish i'd gotten half a dozen or so to wear under my jumpers!

Where is the peacocks and any idea when it opens? I notice that you are in Berkshire - so just windering whether its Reading, as I know there is one opening there soon...
