Question:
Le Weekend
As I am massively procrastinating at work, thought I would kick off the weekend thread.
This is my first weekend in london for about 3 weeks, plus finally my new wardrobes are built AND painted, so am looking forward to having a massive sort out this weekend!
But first, tonight am meeting Mimicat and we are doing a TS OC mission then for wine and mezze at Ozer. Will wear what I am wearing now, which is red elevator platforms, black wolford opaques, black wool trapeze line sleeveless mini dress with big pockets over a b/w striped l/sleeved tee and my name necklace.
Tomorrow, am going to a gig in camden with my sister to see a band called rawfox - don't ask! - so will wear black ankle boots, opaques, high waisted tweed short shorts from pinko and my black clash t-shirt I have cut the arms off tucked in. Quite fancy wearing some really ott jewellery and have a wicked butler and wilson massive necklace I got for a ball years ago - might just look too incongruous though.
Sat am I am sorting out my clothes, getting rid/charity shop/ebaying those I don't wear and putting those I do in my new wardrobes, then my hairdresser is coming over to cut mine and my sis's hair, which will involve cakes and magners!
Sat night. it's an old uni mate's birthday, so drinks at her sister's round the corner from mine, then onto chibuku at herbal - not sure what to wear, but possibly graphic leopard print silk mini dress with vintage chain belt, black otk socks and black miu platforms.
Sunday will be recovering, and meeting friends for sunday lunch in the pub before collapsing on the sofa in front of shipwrecked. Will be standard sunday uniform of skinny jeans, uggs and massive hoodie..
So, what are you all up and and what are you wearing?
I was hoping someone would kick off the weekend thread, not that I'm doing anything exciting but because I'm so bored!
Loving your gig outfit Lizzie.
Friday my boy's band is playing at the Fleece. Am in 2 minds about what to wear because it's such a cold venue & no-one else dresses up.
Option A- black short shorts, opaques, black suede ankle boots, chiffon polka dot blouse, long jet beads & name necklace. Although I think I might be a tad overdressed, then again it is Friday night, grrrrrrrrrr:-
or
Option B- grey skinnies, grey metallic long boots, the same polka dot blouse, beads & name necklace.
Saturday we're staying at our mates place & having fajitas and maybe a trip to the cinema in the day. Black cashmere polo neck or l/s white top under grey mini tunic, leggings, loads of necklaces & UGGS or metallic boots, black pea-coat & petrol blue pashmina.
Sunday- flanging in pjs.
just reading about your weekends is exhausting Lizzie:lol: .
Tomorrow night a large group of us are going to Cirque de Soleil. a friend has a box so we are having champagne and nibbles in the box but I think we are meeting up at Zuma first for cocktails and snacky things. I'll be going straight from work so I'm not sure what to wear yet as I have some meetings tomorrow for which I need to be conservatively dressed.
saturday I am having a massage, doing laundry (yawn), hopefully doing some other chores around the house like going through clothes and other stuff to ebay/charity/bin. I seem to be doing this every weekend but not getting anywhere :o . going to my yoga course in the afternoon and another yoga class after. Saturday night we have no plans and so we will probably make something yummy and watch dvds.
Sunday will be sleep in, brunch and then maybe meeting up with PetitCherie and sister-of-PC to do a trawl of a particular area of London to case it for Meet venues for the February Meet. I think I will wear black tunic dress, black opaques, purple suede boots, purple araline, pucci scarf. Unless its very cold when I might wear wide-legged jeans, black fitted sweater dress, black miu miu platform boots, faux fur leopard cropped jacket and a small bag. my osteo has told me to carry smaller bags as my heres have pulled three ribs out of alignment !!
OT - this thread always puts the Beautiful South song in my head "Something for the Weekend"

Oh my God Ellie that's shocking. I've been lugging cameras around for about three weeks now and suddenly my shoulder and neck are flaring up again - you have to be sooooooo careful. Have fun at Cirque De Soleil - never been, but I would love to.
Well I am meeting Lizzie this evening for shopping and eating (hoping she can find me something nice to wear on my birthday) and wearing what I am wearing now - leopard print mini smock, opaques, white patent vintage peeptoes, long bird necklace, black leather biker bomber and black lace scarf.
Tomorrow morning I have the morning off :yay: so I'm going to go to the gym, whizz round the market and buy some cupcakes from Hummingbird Bakery for my team, then into work for a couple of hours before yoga. Then I am trying to wriggle my way out of drinks with Ibiza boy so I can go to the gig with Lizzie, but it's proving hard without being rude  .
Will probably end up grabbing Lebanese on Portobello and inhaling lycetinis and blackberry caipirinas at E&O. Am going to wear my eau de nil All Saints bubble mini dress as I never seem to get round to wearing it, with black opaques and red elevators.
Saturday day I will probably still be on the birthday outfit hunt and may have to drag Ibiza boy with me. I'm not feeling too guilty about this as I haven't been shopping with him before in the five months we've been together, but I have been to the football!!!
Then it's yoga again followed by an evening on the sofa.
Sunday I have no plans as yet although I need to catch up with one of my besties over the weekend after double booking her for this evening :o .
Have lots of fun everyone - Dolly go for the shorts - it's friday after all!!!
Mimi x
Your outfit today sounds fab Lizzie!
I have a weekend off from looking after my dad as my mum's off, tomorrow I am heading into London, going to Couverture on Sloane Street to pick up this jewellery box which I saw in a newspaper and fell in love with:
http://www.couverture.co.uk/product/?productid=1009
Then meeting up with my sister for some shopping and lunch, possibly High St Ken but the H&M there, which used to be my favourite, has seriously declined in favour now that the upstairs is all kids' stuff  Then heading back to her flat to watch DVDs, Ugly Betty and eat M&S food. Will wear black jersey empire line dress, black opaques, forest green suedette ballet pumps, and dragonfly necklace.
On Saturday my sister and I are taking my uncle and auntie's 14-year old daughter shopping in Camden. Will be wearing this dress with above forest green pumps in an attempt to look like an appropriately cool, indie Big Sister:

(It's SO much longer on me - just above knee length! :D )
On Sunday I might go for a mooch around Croydon on my own, wearing something involving UGGs, as I have a major Primark-spree craving, and I might watch a film as I haven't been to the cinema for ages.
Nothing hugely exciting but it makes a change from fetching and carrying for my dad and making him take hundreds of pills :D
