Question:
Smart winter coats
Now thats its freezing I need to buy a smart winter coat -the problem is whenever I try on smart coats in shops they tend to make me look at least 10 years older...now i'm 22 so i would like to look my age(ish) while at the same time finding a supersmart long elegant coat...is this possible? I've bee to TKMaxx in the hope of making my money go further...i found a coat for £100 - it said original price £300 but it made me look so old!!
Any help would be great if people have seen nice coats in the shops as I can buy shoes and hadbags but when it comes to clothes I have absolutely no idea!!
H&M have some gorgeous coats in at the moment which look smart & classic but won't age you. :) I got a knee-length red coat there a few months ago which I loooove & best of all it was only £40! I've seen coats that are almost identical to it & they were £75-£100! You can't beat H&M for value for money. :D

There are some nice ones in this picture gallery. I bought the Jigsaw wrap one myself.
This is the full article on Little Black Coats in case the direct picture link doesn't work.
Zara is your best bet for price and style.

Does it have big 60s style buttons? If so I have it in navy! I love this coat.
I think they still have it in some places...
I don't think a smart coat has to look frumpy at all. Although I personally would find a long coat (as in below knee length) would look frumpy on me.
