Boots, boots, boots.... opinions please.
Question:

Boots, boots, boots.... opinions please.
  Hello,
I know that boots isn't a very original subject, however, I would welcome any opinions/recommendations if you have time.
Basically I'm looking for some boots which are smart but low heeled in either black, brown or grey. They need to be quite slim in the leg rather than clumpy to fill a gap in my wardrobe.....either over jeans for smart or beneath various cropped winter trousers and the odd dress for work. And walkable! Oh and I'm trying to be economical too....hence looking on Yoox.
What do you think of these from Yoox? I find it very difficult to judge whether things are going to be relatively slim and fitted in the leg.

And what do you think of things like these Oxs boots for a more "urban" look. I like the uppers of these, but I can't quite get my head around springy soles on boots. Am I wrong? http://www1.yoox.com/item.asp/tskay/...663N/areaid/36
Finally I like the look of these patent boots but they might be a bit on the butch side for smart workwear (wide in the leg). Patent boots: http://www1.yoox.com/item.asp/tskay/...611B/areaid/45

Does no-one have any opinion on the above boots? :boohoo:

I love the colour of the first two pairs but not so keen on the styles, but I really like the last ones.
I think they'd look great with skirts for work not too butch at all, they'd look good with opaques and dresses too.

In order of preference - 3,2 and then 1. But I have to say none of them really do it for me. I'm after a low pair of boots that look smart too and so far have really only seen a pair in Hobbs that I like. They are a shiny black leather, very slim-fitting and have a small angled wedge heel so are smart and comfy. The downside is they are £195 I think. I am waiting on Hobbs having a sale (which they will do soon I'm sure) and then think I will buy them as they are quite a classic style of boot and I find Hobbs boots to be very good quality.
I don't mean to bang on about M&S but I'm pretty sure I saw a pair not unlike pair number 3 on their site - i think Limited Collection. And you'll like be able to get a discount code for them at some stage soon.

I like no.3 the best but can't see that any of them are really suitable for work. I second M&S, they have some really lovely boots at the moment and very reasonably priced.
