Question:
Making jeans fade?
Hi, posted on here a while ago about slouchy jeans, and after following your advice found a pair in River Island at the weekend. Only problem is the ones I like the fit of are a bit darker than I was looking for - does anyone know of a way to fade jeans quickly? I was thinking on just washin them about 5 times but not sure it'll make much difference?
You could get some gentle sandpaper and lightly sand the areas where the jeans would wear naturally. Don't go overboard though!
If you just want to give them a kind of 'distressed' look you can rub the areas that would fade with time (the front of the thigh, the seat etc) wiht a pumice stone.
Some of the dye could wash out but if you wash them alot at once you may risk shrinking them a bit.
Ooh, hadn't thought of that, thanks guys! Mite dig out an old pair to practise on first tho!
