topshop owl necklace...
Shoes??? I have some navy blue patent flats from TS they with straps.
BUt I am thinking maybe a cheap pair of ballet flats?
Bag??? help no idea..
Answers on a postcard to....
I suggest maybe a white shirt instead of the t-shirt - maybe a prettier, more casual one - under the cardigan to smarten it up. Better to be too smart than too casual!
Also possibly lose the necklace as it could be distracting for the interviewer and you might be tempted to fiddle with it. The flats sound nice - do they go with the trousers though? Poss. a cheap pair of gold/black/silver ballet flats - or a splash of colour. You might want to inject some colour. If your trousers are long, definitely wear heels so they don't drag on the floor!
I wore black lightly pinstriped trousers, a white shirt with puffed sleeves and textured fabric left slightly open with a green cami underneath and a green cardigan when I did an interview. Oh, and grey ankle boots, which were mostly hidden by my trousers. It was the perfect mixture of casualness and formal suit, plus it was comfy!
yeah,I would try and lose some of the black so that you stand out slightly-black can sometimes look a bit 'schooly' if its casual-I love the sound of Kaellya's outfit.
I was going to suggest much the same thing; that outfit sounds pretty good, Kaellya. A tee shirt would work, but I'd wear a jacket with it instead of the cardigan. A pretty jumper with a skinny belt would work too.
Rather than round-toed ballet flats, have you got some pointy ones? They can look a bit smarter; I also wouldn't wear navy with black trousers, unless you're going to accessorise well with turquoise and silver. I think I'd ditch the owl necklace too, and go for something simpler.
