Question:
Rights regarding a necklace
I got a necklace from a jeweller's shop few weeks ago and few days in, the necklace got caught whilst sleeping. The necklace is quite thin and is not tangled up. I tried untangling it but cant do it.
Does anyone know if i could exchange it because i do not know whether it is a fault or not?
I think it's unlikely to be faulty it's simply that jewellery isn't designed to be slept in. They may be able to untangle it for you but be prepared to pay for the service. If you got it from a high street jeweller you may be better taking it to an independant outlet that has a working jeweller on the premises.

sorry i don't understand what's wrong with it, is it tangled or not?
if it is tangled they *may* be able to untangle it for you but i wouldn't class this as a fault, the excuse they would use is "reasonable force" they would say any force that was applied to it, is more than would happen in normal wear
retailers use this alot, basic way of saying, "it's not a fault with it, it's not our fault this has happened it's yours!"
also depends on what jewellers you got it from?
HTH a little!
Yeah, you shouldn't sleep in a necklace.
Do you have a friend who is good at untangling? I'm useless, but I have a couple of friends who love ( ) sorting tangles out. Also, using a pin on a tight chain knot often helps.
i think you could also use fairy liquid?? i've read somewhere that it helps untangle necklaces...
