Question:
Does anybody want to dress me?
Hi baggers,
I'm more of a lurker in fashion but you all seem such experts, I would love your help! I'm currently in my last term of uni and finally have a little bit more time to take care of myself. However, right now, i'm dressed in uni sweatshirt, jeans which should have been thrown away months ago (i can't even put things in the pockets because the lining's disintegrated :o ) and the only decent bit about me are lk bennett beige trainers which are looking a bit dirty...
I purchased a pair of duo boots the other day, and they're divine, so it's set me off on the right track. I have to start looking more grown up! But my style sense seems to have gone awol as i'm so out of practice! I'm a size 12, 5'4", blonde hair with a life of it's own, pale (very pale!) skin and blue eyes. I'd like to lose a little bit of weight, bit too much wobble, but no drastic changes.
Any recommendations? Staple pieces of clothing which should be in my wardrobe? I guess i'm a fairly conservative dresser, I like jumpers over shirts, that kinda thing, but I live in jeans. Do i need to buy daywear, work clothes (for after I graduate) and going out stuff? I think i've lost all sense of fashion logic....
Please inspire me
:thanks:

P.S. forgot to add, I live in France, so not all off the shops etc are available, but if you can think of something that would suit me, i'll quite happily go hunting off to find the equivalent :)
I dont ever wear shirts with jumpers so its hard for me to think of alternatives to this.
It sounds like you do want a change, so why not try something different?
You're probably not getting the most flattering look you could achieve by wearing shirts/jumpers with jeans, they're more suited in my opinion with a smart trouser.
Dresses are very popular with the baggers, tunic, print wrap dresses, you could wear all of these with cardigans and pumps to create a casual look.
If you want to wear jeans, I'd suggest trying a longline top with it replacing the shirts/jumpers, you can dress this up with beads and other beautiful jewlerry, you could wear this again with pumps or boots.
Hi,
You sound like you've got a good figure, but if you're a bit worried about wobbly bits, then I'd go for wrap tops (or wrap-effect) to hide your tummy.
Do you like your legs? If so, cropped jeans or trousers would look good with some flat pumps for practicality.
I'd wait until buying stuff for a job as you may lose weight/change shape before then and waste loads of money.
If you want a few staples that you could possibly use for work, then I'd buy one or two pairs of decent trousers in either black, brown or grey, a few cardigans - any style or colour and lots of vests and tees to layer with.
I love skirts, but obviously not everyone has the confidence for them, but I'd invest in a couple of nice skirts too - I used to go for patterned ones but find that plain ones are easier to funk up with patterned tights.
Good luck and have fun shopping! :)
Thanks :) I forgot to add that i loathe my ankles - hence the boots  the rest of me i can tolerate, i'm a fairly curvy 37" 29" 37" if this makes any difference. Thanks for your ideas, am just about to crawl into bed because i feel this evil winter sick bug thing approaching, but i'll keep checking regularly!

Are you feeling brave and fancy posting a pic? :D You can cover up your face if you want to remain anonymous, but it might make it easier for us to judge what suits you.
Also, try going on the BBC website and finding the Trinny & Susannah page...they have a little quiz you can take and recommend shapes to wear.
