Question:
Kukui beads... do you still wear yours?
I was looking at my mug-tree/necklace organiser the other day only to notice a layer of dust on my kukui beads. I'm not sure why I've stopped wearing mine, perhaps they're too attached to the whole boho-gypsy-skirt overkill? I guess kooky pendants on chains are a more "now" look and accessories are a way to change a look from season to season, but wondered if any baggers were stil wearing theirs?
I think I will dust mine off and try to put them with some outfits, anyway, they looked a bit sad all dusty.

I'm still wearing mine!
Having not worn them for ages I've dusted off both my long brown ones and shorter black ones and worn both of them this week. The black work nicely with monochrome outfits as an alternative to regular black beads.
I've got black kukui beads which I still wear sometimes. I still like how they look and prefer beads to long pendants. I think maybe it's because I haven't seen any pendants or anyone wearing any that have caught my eye yet.

I dunno, I associate them more with summer. I worn mine lots in 2006 with a particular outfit that I really liked. It was an apple green jersey boob tube (quite long line) and 70s style flared jeans, with flippies :hippy:.
I think I'll wear similar things this year, I always come over all hippie caravan in the summer :D
