Question:
My hair
I know this is O/T but beauty boards arent as actively used as this one...
Basically my hair seems to be well  not very nice!
I have very long hair, and I get it coloured (but not very often, 2-3 times a year max) however it seems to be very 'flyaway' (not sure thats the right term to use)
At the top of my head I have loads of short hair that just seems to be there to make my hair look messy, its like my hairs snapped right at the top and they usually stand up on end IYSWIM.
Why is my hair doing this? How can I prevent it?
I tried asking my hairdresser (who is also a friend) and she said its the colouring, when I said I only get it done twice/three times a year she was like Oh I just say its cause you colour it to everyone I dont know why its doing it then! (Great help :cmdunno: )
I blowdry it pretty much everyday, and use straightners about 5 a week but not to the extent where I go over all my hair constantly for ten minutes, its just basically a quick pull down over the hair at the front.
Try posting in hair as well, the boards will be even slower there if everything gets posted here!
Sounds like your hair is weakened due to all the blow drying and straightening, maybe not use them as much? It's snapping and causing flyaway shorter hairs.

:o Will post it in there aswell.
Thanks for the advice! Thats what I thought, but was hoping it wouldnt be that as because my hairs so long it takes forever to dry without a bit of help! Havent been blow drying or straightening it for 3 days now. :boohoo:
Maybe use a smoothing product to deal with the flyaway aspect? Get a shampoo for damaged/coloured hair or a vitamin rich one and use a heat protector for blowdrying and straightening...
Either it could be leftover baby hair (some people have this, but it tends to be towards the front) or your hair is dry and not in the best condition and is snapping because of it.
Blowdrying and using the straightners every day, as well as the dye will be making your hair dryer and the condition worse.
Do you use a weekly strong conditioner once or twice a week and a heat protection spray before blow drying and straightning?
