slgihtly O/T - berluddy ebay!
Question:

slgihtly O/T - berluddy ebay!
nobbin ell. i listed my mulberry roxanne bag and it was removed because i stated in the detailes that i was a bit dubious about its authenticity (i origionally purchased it off ebay and was told it was genuine, but i wasnt convinced when it arrived that it was, although it is an excellent copy and very high quality).
is there any way round this, so that i can still sell it on ebay? (hope im not going to get flamed here. dont want to mislead anyone - just want to be able to sell it).

Sorry to say but honestly doesn't pay when it comes to selling bags on eBay. If you are in doubt list it without claims of it's authenticity but don't say you have doubts and handle enquiries on an individual basis.

Oh no clairabelle! I think it was me who advised something like that... feel bad now. Just didn't want you to get into trouble that's all.:cmdunno: Also thought that buyers might just want to know, i know i would.

Hope you end up with a successful sale next time though.

It might be worthwhile saving the details of your listing somewhere so that next time you don't lose your description etc.

Good luck.

I agree with pansymouse - there's not really another way of getting round it. Savvy people expect Roxannes on ebay to be fake anyway and SHOULD ask you questions about it before bidding. I know it's illegal to sell fakes but the number of people who have a whole business selling knockoffs on ebay as the real thing with no consequences whatsoever really makes me cross. They get away with it because they lie about them being real. Mulberry told me they have whole teams of people who scour the internet trying to get rid of fakes but they are certainly not making headway! Sorry for the rant!:o

I did reply to this but HB ate it
Going on my recent horrendous here selling experience, it seems when it comes to honesty, you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't  I listed mine honestly (ie, the bag was genuine) and now I'm subject to a PayPal enquiry
I'd do as Pansy says and list it without commenting either way. If and when you get queries, then you can answer them personally. Good luck - oh and beware of unhinged types in New Jersey! They're nowt but trouble I tell you ;)
