Question:
If you could chose 2 dresses..
Like Kate_liverpool, I'm trying to sort out the clothes I'm taking on my trip :D
People are trying to convince me that dresses are not practical wear for backpackers, but I disagree :D I can't go for 4 months without feeling girly!!
I think I'll be able to fit in 2 dresses - they'll need to be lightweight, and not prone to crumpling! Oh, and versitile, they will be my 'evening wear' clothes, so will need to be able to make them look different from time to time!!
Any suggestions :cmdunno: I'm starting to panic about leaving all my lovely clothes behind if you can't tell... :o
I think you're right. I went travelling for 9 months and wish I had taken a few girlie things like dresses, silver flip flops and some beads.
Think carefully about the fabric, nothing too sweaty, something you can handwash easily and something that won't look awful if it gets a bit creased.
I'll be taking a dress. Not sure which colour though ;) I suppose I'm going to look for something that can be screwed up in a backpack for weeks on end, and still be fabulous when I decide to wear it. Something to dress up and down. Let me know if you find anything.
When do you go?
16th Feb - ages yet, but I finish work soon so startign to get excited. How about you?
Thinking of maybe taking my cotton poppy dress (laura lees for TS), but having the puff sleeves taken off, so its sleeveless :uzzle: yeh, def want something to dress up and down!!
How about a bandeau dress? Great to avoid strap marks during the day and can be worn with flip flops. Then you could dress it up for night with heels and a chain?
