Question:
Dying denim a shade darker?
i bought some pale grey skinnies from tesco and just wondering if its possible to dye them a shade or two darker and if so how and what etc - at the moment they have a lighter patch down the front - would that still be lighter if it was dyed?

Should be fine- I did this when I wanted my black ones more of a solid colour. I used a dylon machine dye- one packet per pair and lots of salt
HTH
:easter: just wanted to use this one... :o
Be warned though I dyed a pair of trousers once and the stitching must have been nylon or something un-dyable so the fabric dyed but the stitching stayed a light colour. You can only try...
Moog - I keep have the urge to use inappropriate smilies - more often than I probably should... :cmdunno:
dylon machine dye. get it places like haberdashery shops or woolworths. brilliant on denim, rubbish on man made fibres. there's zillions of colours too -check here for more info.
