Question:
Really sorry to bang on about this but......
.... does anyone know if Gucci do written letters of authentification?
I'm sorry to keep dragging this up - please bear with me :o The ebay witch has escalated her "complaint" on PayPal. I've put my case and she's still emailing me saying "I strongly advise you to refund, I'm getting a letter of inauthenticity from Gucci to present to PayPal".
She's now making me doubt myself :head: What if Gucci make a mistake and say it's a big ol' faker?! :cmeek:
Toosh, a lot of companies will not give a written statement regarding authenticity but I'm not sure if Gucci is one of them. I would def. suggest you post this on Purse Forums (the ebay forum and the Gucci forum) and see what the girls over there think. They know everything there is to know about these things so should be pretty helpful.
Can't believe that woman :head: Really hope you manage to sort this out and she stops hassling you.
I doubt very much that they will do a "letter of inauthenticity". they won't waste time on anyone presenting them with a fake, the bitch is trying it on!
I doubt Gucci do authentications, written or otherwise - it sounds like she's trying it on with you big-time.
I don't think a lot of sales assistants can tell real from fake and I am told that most luxury retailers will not do authenticity letters (unless it's from management or head office) becos they can be easily sued. Gucci bags are particularly difficult to authenticate, especially the older styles.
I am sorry this is happening to you - it's not what you need
She may take it to a Gucci store and have them confirm something but I doubt a sales assistant would be able to issue any sort of statement and again I doubt Gucci head office would be *rsed looking at and assessing the authenticity of a purse!
