Question:
It's Thursday and very nearly the weekend!
I have started this thread really as a disguise for a shamelessly O/T question but back on topic for a minute, it's thursday so basically the weekend - what are you guys all up to and what are you wearing?
Tonight I am going for dinner with my ex at Yauatcha, then probably for a few drinks to the cuckoo club. Will be nice to catch up with him, purely as friends. Will wear what I am wearing now, black sass and bide skinnies, antiquey gold puff sleeved blouse with nipped in waist by LL for TS, red pointy toe shoe boots, red name necklace, gold bangles.
Tomorrow night, I am going to a friend's party in clerkenwell with miss mimicat then poss on for drinks in the ditch depending on how disciplined/drunk I am so probs going to wear black short shirt dress with opaques, grey patent elevator platforms, big vintage DKNY belt, massive 80's bead necklace in grey and gold I got this week and parka (it's suddenly so cold!).
Then Saturday, shopping/lunch/hair followed by date with extremely hot boy I met who was dressed as bad santa when I was dressed as a bat last sat. So, here's my O/T dilemma. I really want to go to the slides at the tate modern with him, but I have spoken to them and you need to be there by 11am and queue for an hour to be able to get on the fast slides at all. And you can't pick up tickets for someone else - everyone who wants a go has to be there. This is clearly no good at all.
So, does anyone have any ideas how to get around this, or of anything else equally fun to do?
Either way, to keep this O/T, I think I am going to wear very high waisted jeans with grey american apparel body, electric blue VW platforms, lots of gold chains, dark grey all saints leather jacket and my tartan scarf...

Sorry, can't help with the Tate Modern, Lizzie, but I just wanted to say that your last outfit sounds incredibly :cool:. Good luck with the date, whatever you end up doing!
I will be emulsioning and detoxing this weekend. Inhaling paint fumes will be all the excitement I will get on this detox (and 2 weekends to go yet :boohoo: ).

So nearly the weekend. Have managed to refain from getting hammered so far this week (only half a bottle of wine last night and no drunkeness at halloween party on tues - what an achievement) so really looking forward to it.
Tonight is my mate's gig at Mother Black Cap - he's okay, but they usually get some really good bands and there will be lots of local friends out so should be fun. Will wear what I'm wearing now: White A line smock style shirt dress with fine black pin stripe and ruffle bib, black opaques, black vintage boots.
Tomorrow is party time with Miss Lizzie B and we're obviously going to be fighting over the grey elevators!!! Was planning to wear: Red tartan strapless button through mini dress with black opaques and grey elevators, alternative outfit is: Denim cutoff shorts, black opaques, grey elevators and black vintage chiffon long sleeve blouse with silver dotty star pattern, but need to try it on to see if it works.
Saturday I am determined to take it easy so I don't spend another sunday with a stomach so sore I can't move. Ibiza boy seems to have something planned, but won't tell me what and I'm not going to indulge him by trying to guess, but that obviously leaves me with no idea what I am going to wear. I'd secretly like to see some fireworks, but don't think that's the plan.
Sunday my brother's in London so am hoping to catch up with him and give him a shopping list for his trip to Paris on Monday. Will inevitabley wear some kind of dress, opaques, flat boots, leather jacket and over sized beanie.
Lizzie I have no idea how to get on the guest list for the slides :lol:, but how about meeting somewhere on the river and getting a boat to tate modern then looking at the art and wondering to borough market for food. If saturday's as beautiful as today boat would be lovely (can see it from my window as I type) and he'll be forced to er keep you warm :heyhey: .

Friday I'm not really sure whats happening, probably the usual 'one drink in the pub' then end up smashed, coming in at 4am, black shorts, woolly tights, and a band t-shirt probably for that, I hate feeling too dressed up just to go to the pub, saturday i'm working all day, going to see a friends band in the evening, and on sunday i'm doing an shoot for my photography portfolio, so jeans, big big jumper and trainers for that! Oh now glam my life is!
Oh LizzieB! My aunt is a head curator at the Tate, if you can postpone it until next weekend (even if it goes on until then, I live in the highly uncultured province of Northern Ireland so I am not on top of these things anymore) I will give her a call and she what she can do! I doubt she'll be able to pull anything off this weekend, though.
I have a really horrible boring weekend ahead of me doing absolutely nothing. :D
