Question:
Mulberry Phoebe - have I done the right thing?
Hi everyone, never visited the fashion forum before but having taken a look and seen how knowledgable you are about your Mulberries thought I'd seek your advice!
Asked for an Oak Phoebe for Christmas, and to my amazement I actually got it! (Well no, I actually got an Oak Annie by mistake but then changed it for the Phoebe!)
I like it, but only thing is I'm just not sure I love it enough to justify the price tag! I'm wondering if I should have gone for a more classic style like the Roxanne?
Advice/reassurance welcome!
Thanks

Personally I'd have to *love* a bag that cost that much to justify it... If you aren't sure, can you exchange it?
My new policy on all buying: I must :throb: it or I don't buy it! :D
:wave: Hi chickchick
Well, tricky dilemma! I think Slinky is right - for something of this value, it really does make sense that you completely love it (if you're anything like me, then, at least till the next best thing comes along :D )
Personally, I really like the Phoebe, especially in Oak. The only reason I haven't gone for one myself is the size really. The Phoebe is kinda in between sizes of my (small) Tyler and (large) Elgin, and I really couldn't justify another purchase.
Have you identified what it is that's not making you jump for joy? Is it the size, shape, colour.....or do you just like the style of the Roxanne more?
I think if you're not sure, it could be worth exchanging for something that does make your heart sing?
that's exactly my dilemma! I got an oak mulberry phoebe in the sale last week and although it's very lovely I just don't think I'm in love with it. One main reason is that I'm just worried it's not big enough to be a multipurpose day bag. I have stared at it and stared at it for a week trying to make that love happen but it just hasn't so I've decided to send it back and scrape the cash together for a roxanne - even though they're still full price:faint:
It is a most beautiful bag but if that love isn't there, and seeing as it's such a huge amount of money then I'd say take it back and spend the money on something that you'll love to bits so that niggling doubt isn't there:)

:lol::lol::lol: That made me laugh!
