My Joni's arrived but...
  I'm not too keen with the length of the strap. It fits comfortably over my should record bag esque but I'm wondering how I can go about fiddling with the strap so it can become shorter. Otherwise i love it!
Any suggestions?

If you adjust the strap to the shortest length, it becomes a shoulder bag. The photos on Net-a-Porter show the bag with the strap fairly short so I think it's supposed to be adjusted.
I guess you could also add a couple of extra holes to the strap - although then the ends would hang lower than the bag (if that makes sense) and I'm not sure how that would look.




I'm going to wait till the boyfriend comes home to sort it out, he's a dab hand!It might be a case of adding a couple of extra holes to the strap.
The pictures do make the strap seems shorter.
