Question:
Fabric shops in London
Evening all!
I'm heading down to the capital tomorrow and was hoping to pick upsome decent fabric for dressmaking while down there...can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Cheers.
Hi :D
The Shop on Brick Lane has lovely material. There are tons of small quirky shops in rubbish areas though!
Enjoy London!
There's Liberty (sp) on Regent Street
John Lewis on Oxford street has a large haberdashery
There was a shop up on Marlebone High Street but that may well be more ribbon and button orientated than fabric itself.
Get down to Soho, not cheap but some amazing fabric shops; I love The Cloth House. Liberty sale is always worth a look too.

*nod* VV Roleuax (I'm sure that's the wrong spelling!). Gorgeous ribbons, but not really any fabric. They're moving out next year though :boohoo:
