Question:
How prepared are you for Christmas?
Just wondering how excited other people get about Christmas, how far in advance you buy your presents, when you get your tree and if you've all got your christmas party outfits sorted yet - that kind of thing - basically I'm just being nosey!!!:D
I'm still quite childish about Christmas. My Mum, brother and I all get very excited about cooking dinner present wrapping and tree decorating even though there's only the three of us.
I'm pretty confident about my shopping now. When I finally admitted I was going to have to buy Ibiza boy a present, I managed to get all his stuff bought in a day and we're having a little Christmas celebration and present opening session next thursday followed by dinner and cocktails which I'm really looking forward to.
I also had a nice evening shopping at Liberty with Lizzie last week and got my Mum's main presents which I'm really pleased about and it was so christmassy in there!!!
My brother tried on some of the clothes I bought Ibiza boy last weekend and looked really nice in them so I'll be popping into H&M to get him a shirt and hoodie, then I just need to get little girlie things for my friends, a couple of stocking fillers for my Mum and ANOTHER secret santa (this is now the fourth one I've had to do this year) for our work drinks tomorrow. Oh and my dad, but he's pretty easy to buy for as well.
So I think I'm pretty sorted and have bought all the expensive stuff although writing it down has made me remember a couple of extras I'd forgotten about. Most of the presents are wrapped in black, red and white and they're sitting under the tree which I put up the weekend before last.
As for Christmas parties out work do isn't until the New Year and I already had an option of two dresses so that was never going to be hard work and they'll both be fine in January.
So how's everyone else getting along - are you quietly confident or going to leave everything to the last minute?!!!

Ooh, good thread! I am half prepared, I have my bagging Secret Santa sorted and presents for the OH, his family and mine but I haven't sorted out people at work, yet. The more frightening thing is how much it is all costing me.
Oooh good festive thread :xtree: :great:
I usually start getting excited about Christmas in early October, and start my shopping then too, maybe just 1 pressie a week or something to spread the cost. I keep a list with what I;m buying everyone, it's so satisfying to tick stuff off  I'd finished 99% of my pressie shopping by the end of November this year - I've just got the odd little bits to buy now. Going to wrap them all up next week!
As for party outfits etc, I don't really have any 'parties' as such to go to, just loads of nights out clubbing with the girls, so will think about the outfits nearer the time.
I am so excited, I love Christmas! :xsanta: :resent: :yay:
Great thread! :great:
I'm really looking forward to Christmas - it's my favourite time of year! :D
I've got almost all of my presents now, just got to get my Dad's main gift & something little for my Grandad. :) It's a nice feeling when everything's nearly done as you don't have to worry anymore about what to get everyone!
We STILL haven't put the decorations up but that's only because my Mum can't find the lights & tinsel for the tree. She got everything out of the loft last week & we put the tree up but she can't find where she put the lights & tinsel. So we have got the tree up, it's just not decorated!
I'm mostly looking forward to seeing my family at Christmas because it's very rare that we all get together. There's going to be 16 of us in total plus three dogs so I think it's going to be a lot of fun. :)
I'm not totally sure what I'll be wearing yet but I have got some nice tops & cute dresses that I could wear & of course I'll want to wear my tan bow shoes from Topshop that my parents have bought me as well as my KG boots which I bought with my xmas money from my Nan & Grandad.

Good thread Mimicat. :)
Sadly, I am not as organised as you.
I have a tick in the box of party dress (singular) and have done half my Christmas shopping but I've done no decorating, need to find quite a few presents and need to plan and order food for Christmas lunch. I'm also busy at work, which never helps but is also the way.
I have to say that looking good over the season is the least of my worries. I'm more concerned that my in-laws are going to come to visit...and starve.
