Question:
Boot help
Hi baggers
I hope this is the right forum for my plea for help!
I bought a pair of knee length boots three weeks ago from my favourite high street store, costing £60, and whilst they're as comfy as hell, even keeping my feet comfortable on a day trip shopping to London as well as wearing them every day to work, I was rather surprised when earlier this week the heel snapped in half on one of them - a workmate has said that it looks like a design fault.
I've rung the shop and am off there tomorrow with the boots to see what they will do. However, my only concern is that if I accept replacement boots, the same will happen again to the new pair of boots, as a colleague at work had to take a pair of shoes back three times to be replaced! Would it be too much to ask if they can swap them for a pair of shoes and have vouchers to make up the difference?
Thanks.
BB
i'm not expert, but i'd say that if it's a design fault then it's the company's problem, and they should give you vouchers if that's what you want.
providing you haven't worn them to death (ie, they haven't been bashed around etc - so I'd give them a clean if I were you ;) ) I think they have to offer you a suitable alternative. The cheapest way for a company to do that is give you a replacement, although if you push for it, I think they are meant to refund :uzzle:
They have been worn a hell of a lot to the point that they need re-heeling already - having to walk from the train station to work on cobbles does NOT help matters - plus the fact that I'm very heavy on my feet! Will have to wait and see what they make of it.
