I've forgotten what summer feels like!
Question:

I've forgotten what summer feels like!
I'm sitting at my desk trying to make a list of things to pack for Qatar and can't remember what I wore/how it felt to be in 32 degree heat! Summer seems like an age ago - especially since this morning was so cold I regretted not having gloves, earmuffs, a scarf and UGGs.
No real point to this thread I guess, except that isn't odd how we adapt to the seasons? (without even wanting to, in my case, as I hate autumn and winter!)

Hi Nazneen!
As usual, as shall be spending my new years in hot Brazil (especially around December and January - their summer´s peak!)...so! here are a few ideas to help you out :beach: :
-Bikinis! (i usually take too many and end up buying some more  )
-Hawaianas or any flipflops (for casual days or going to pool/beach)
-cotton or linnen city shorts, dresses, skirts (I shall be taking this instead of trousers to make sure I tan whatever and wherever I might be!:o )
-tees or strappy, halternecks - great for the beach or going out!
-pashmina for flight (gets cold during long flights and can be worn as a beach towel or sarong)
-SUNGLASSES AND SUN CREAM! Never to be seen without sunglasses! ;)
-a couple of nice silky or linnen dresses for special nights out/dinners
-couple of nice heels for going out
-beach bag and going out bags :)
Hopefully this will help out! (God knows Ive already selected a few bits for taking away in December while putting away my summer clothes...how sad is that?! ):o

I know what you mean, its amasing to think just a few weeks ago we were all melting and wear flip flops. I don`t want to think about winter, roll on next summer.

Thanks for the advice Miss S! erm, do you think that light jersey fabric will be too warm for those temperatures?
I'm packing some of my summer dresses and skirts and shawls but wanted to wear some sleeved, more covered up dresses I own as it's a fairly conservative Muslim place, but those are made from jersey.
As no one walks anywhere at all, I'll get plenty of opportunities to wear high heels too!
