Jane Shepherdson leaves Topshop
Question:

Jane Shepherdson leaves Topshop
Just read this, this morning. I still don’t see how Kate Moss’ clothes will be anything different to what’s already around and personally don’t think she will have any more input than taking a look at them and saying yay or nay, and its just a marriage of convenience.
Personally I don’t think Topshop is worth its reputation anymore and its prices are still heading skyward but Jane did turn it from a crappy high street store to almost a worldwide brand so I wonder where they will go from here and why exactly she left.:uzzle:

That's interesting. I'm envisaging Kate Moss's stuff to be all slouchy tops, waistcoats, boots and skinny jeans personally, I can't see it being awe-inspiring, much as I love her style.
Maybe their prices will go down now?! I bloody hope so.

She's probably been offered something better, it can't be over Moss. Sir Phil owns stuff other than the Arcadia group, doesn't he? Does he not have a finger in the Whistles/KM pie? Perhaps she's taken something else up there. I certainly can't see her leaving fashion forever... And I can't see the prices going down, either!

It was meant to be acrimonious so I wouldnt have thought she would have worked for him elsewhere? I read that it was because she didn't like the fact she wasn't consulted on the Kate Moss deal and felt undermined.
I love top-shop but think it's got far too expensive for what it is. £28 for a flimsy t-shirt top is about £10 too much I think! Or maybe I'm just getting tight.
