Question:
barbed wire necklace
I met someone with a rather unusual necklace at the weekend and i cant decide whether i love it or hate it. i was wondering what you all think. Its silver, and in the shape of barbed wire. it was handmade by a silversmith. She has offered to get the said silversmith to make one for me, but i cant decide if its cool and quirky, or would i look like some kind of goth going around?

my brother had one of these (from the gadget shop) when he was 13 - way back in the '90's.

If it was more scultural and less obviously based on barbed wire I would like it perhaps, but that one does seem a little goth to me. Going slightly off topic, but when I was about 14 we had to make candle sticks in technology, so I made one with barbed wire snaking round it. It was a nightmare to get hold of barbed wire as well, no garden centres had it. I think I had to hacksaw it off a fence on a building site :lol:
