Question:
Bristol Shopping??
Was planning a trip to Bristol City Centre tomorrow to do a bit of shopping and fancied a bit of a change of scenery (often go to Cribbs so thought I'd try the centre for a change), but I understand they are doing it up at the moment.
Can anyone tell me - is it worth going while this is going on? Are the usual shops still open and is it easy enough to navigate the roadworks or will it be a total waste of time?! I'm mainly interested in H&M, Topshop, Miss Selfridge, New Look and the like.
Thank you! :)

Honestly, I wouldn't bother.
Broadmead has the same high street shops as Cribbs (apart from Debenhams and HoF) except IMO Cribbs stores are all bigger and carry a far better range of stock than their equivalents in Broadmead.
However I'm expecting great things from Broadmead once it's finished, but that is still a long way off!
Oh no! :( Thanks for the tip Popoki, you've saved me a wasted trip!
Was hoping the Central H&M might stock the pink label range as there is nowhere near me that does.
Oh well! Will have to think of somewhere else to shop!
Thanks again

Really? Am shocked by that! I have only been to Cribbs once and was really disappointed with it! Do you normally shop at Cribbs then or do you have to travel further afield?

I usually shop online, London or Bath. I hear Cardiff is very good, and keep meaning to go for the day. Bristol is quite bad shops wise considering its size. There are other little bits of shopping, Clifton Village and Park Street that are more boutiquey, and worth a look.
I don't much like either Cribbs or Broadmead, but out of ease, I normally walk or catch the bus to Broadmead as Cribbs on a Saturday can be total gridlock!
