Stretching Knee high boots
Question:

Stretching Knee high boots
  Ladies
Have any of you ever actually had the calf part of your knee highs stretched by a cobbler? I've got a pair at home that fit..... but could do with being maybe a half an inch looser both for comfort and to look better, and I'm just wondering do cobblers actually do this before O bring them in?
thanks
tiny.

Answers:

hey Tiny, could you not wear a pair of jeans under them whilst walking about your home? If they are leather they'll give a little bit anyway........don't want them to stretch too much :)
& to answer the question, I've not heard of it myself.

Answers:

My riding boots shrank (as well as me getting like a heifer :o ) and I found a cobbler that stretched them by a good half inch. You need to just ring round a few - go for smaller independent firms rather than Timpsons.

I might try the jeans thing, but I'm just afraid that if I do that that they'll get into a slouched shape from not sitting up where they should if you know what I mean? I'll try ringing a couple of local cobblers, fingers crossed ! thanks girls :)
