Question:
boots that are suitable for work and skinny ankles?
in this season of slouchy boots and ones made for stuffing jeans into I have been completely unable to find any simple chucky heeled, smart, black leather (not suede - OMG not in the rain:eek: ) office wear type boots that will look nice with wrap dresses or knee skirts and tights. everthing I have seen or tried on so far has either had a pencil heel - which will snap within a week of marching round city streets, or they bag round the ankles in a comedy more than cool and slouchy way as I have fairly thin legs and scrawny ankles.:o
please please help me in my quest to find boots that fit.
Have you tried Next? There's also Duo (www.duoofbath.com) for narrow fitting boots.
Clarks have some simple black leather knee-high boots with an elegant but substantial heel that would look great with wrap dresses. I'd 2nd Next aswell? PV got some lovely ones from there.
I got a pair of boots from Office- think they are called Flightplan.
I've got skinny ankles & legs too, they have a little stumpy almost cone shaped (but not quite) heel, & a round-ish toe & are very comfy. Think they were £90. They look quite vintage-y in my opinion.
I can wear them with dresses & tights or tuck my skinnies in them. They'd look nice for work I've got mine for going out. Haven't worn them out yet as it's still nice & warm out.
They come in black, burgundy, brown & slightly metallic taupey grey which I've got.
HObbs does a riding boot style which i'm really lusting after at the moment. It's a really classic style with elastic at either side which is perfect for my skinny ankles.
