Slightly OT but the diamond fell out of my chain!

I was given a really beautiful delicate chain in June and today i noticed that the stone (stuck on top) was coming off - i shook it a bit and it came completely off!!!
I dont know what to do - its a designer piece (not hugely pricey but funky designer) and one of a kind - should i attempt to glue it on or take it to some sort of jewellers?? I just think they will laugh because its not a gucci etc, just a funky piece which needs gluing!!!
I'd take it to the jewellers. Wouldn't really wanna risk spoiling such a delicate piece of jewellery.
