Question:
help! which jacket/shrug and shoes?
1 Attachment(s) I have an emerald green silk chiffon dress from Hobbs. When I tried it on I fell in love with it (I have red hair and pale skin and i think the colour seduced me). Having taken pics of me in it for this thread, I now think I'm WAY too fat for it - ho hum! It's beyond the 28 days so too late to take it back.
Anyway I am planning to wear it to a friend's wedding in October but as that is directly after my honeymoon I have limited time to get the outfit together. I need a shrug/jacket and shoes. I was thinking of going down the red/plum route with velvet round toe heels. Scouring the shops this week I found some green velvet shoes in Principles that might go. But I really need your help to pull this outfit together.
I already have a here I plan to use - silver and green and the green is an exact match. I also have some black velvet shoes with silver trim but I wondered if that might look a bit drab.
Please fashionistas and style queens - transform this dumpy frump!

Gorgeous dress! I think the only problem with it is that it's slightly too long for you, you've got a lovley figure and really suit it otherwise. I'd suggest taking it to a tailor's and getting it taken up OR trying some lighter coloured, higher sandals with it (open toes really elongate the leg a lot more than closed ones).
Instead of plum/red (which I really like in theory, but may not be as flattering IRL) perhaps silver sandals would be nice, to tie in with the bag?
Yes, pretty much what Naz said. I think the black shoes don't quite work with the bag you suggest; silver would be better. A cool-toned plum could work as well, I think, but if you want to go with the green and silver here, silver shoes are probably the safest bet. Try New Look, they had lots in last time I looked.
