Question:
got some money to spend
right girls,
I need some help, I've got some money to spend on clothes and i need your help! I have around €600. I am going to law school (we solicitors train differently here in Ireland) in 3 weeks and it will be casual, and ive just realised that my casual wardrobe has suffered over the past year or so in favour of work clothes. I am just trying to work out what i need and i would love some suggestions.
I have skinny jeans in a variety of colours, and 2 pairs of7famks
I have boots (ts pirate boots from last year, uggs, fryes) i have flats from new look and a pair of MJ mouse flats, slams, various high heels that can be worn with jeans
my list so far consists of
- a few cardigans in a variety of colours
-tatty devine name necklace
-ankle boots (i think the topshop tie boots)
- houndstooth mini
- black poloneck
-shift dress
- leather bomber/some other type of casual jacket
- wide leg trousers
-pretty blouse to go With wide leg trousers
-few basic tops
-opaque tights
-DVF wrap dress
can anyone add to this
I don't have anything to add but I wouldn't wear houndstooth on a mini. NL have some great houndstooth chenille scarves - a better way to tap into the trend - but perhaps that's my personal taste!
Have you got a winter coat?
list
what about tweedy trousers or winter weight ones, a bag big enough to carry all your papers in, fitted shirts to layer with knitwear..... gloves, scarf etc!
Thanks for the quick reply hack. The mini is very cute actually, im going to wear it with black opaques and ankleboots. I hate chineele, or however its spelt. It reminds me of grannys. Sorry! I only like houndstooth in heavy wool material (don’t know the proper name!) like in jackets/coats/skirts, and I don’t like it in tops/wrap dresses etc. its just wrong.
Any other suggestions for a new casual wardrobe?
I never really bought clothes for law school, I have to say! It's pretty much like being in university and I spent a lot of it being hungover so it was whatever was closest to hands. Nobody really dressed up or even very fashionably, and I was in London, mind. Sounds like you're doing well so far.
Now working as lawyer and forced to "dress properly", I would've probably spent my time on the LPC in more comfy clothes.....*sigh*
