Question:
Opaques reccs?
Does anyone know of any decent opaque tights? I want some that are really dense black and ideally, don't have that darker band around the top of the legs so that I can wear them with short shorts.

From what I've read in the fancy magazines, Wolford and Falke are the makes that are mentioned most often.
I don't think they're exceptionally cheap, but are apparently very good quality. They're probably available in your nearest friendly department store.
I second that, Wolford are fab, they are a bit pricier but they do last so are worth it. I think that Mytights website sells them, maybe even Figleaves and there's always discount codes knocking about for them.
O/T but where's your shorts from Blonde, I'm wanting to do the whole short shorts and thick opaques for the winter?
I always find Primark tights very good and long enough for those of us lumbered with stupidly long legs. However I think they may have the denser bit at the top, you'd have to sneak open a packet and have a look.
I've got some of the primark opaques in navy grey and black and none of them have that band thing. Theyre the best opaques ive very had, compared to m&s and john lewis and the such and baout £1.50 for 2 pairs, hope this helps :)
