Next directory question
I would like to order some items online from the Next website. However I really begrudge being forced to open a store card account to enable me to do this. I've ordered from them before (maybe 4 years ago) and didn't have to do this! I don't have any store cards, and am happy with the credit cards that I do have.
Am I worrying unnecessarily about opening a store account? I don't want to use the credit facility, just order some shoes and clothes from the website. Will I be inundated with junk mail and be sent the Next directory without asking (and subsequently forced to pay for it?)
I had to (well my OH did) open an account as i wanted to order something too which was a bit annoying.
Never had any probs though, as soon as i know i'm keeping something i just log in online and pay it off.
I actually prefer it because you aren't charged straight away and don't have to wait to have your credit/debit card refunded.
You will get sent a directory which will cost £3.75. If you are worried about buying on credit just pay the full amount when you get your bill the next month, this is what I do. You can choose delivery day and time or pick up from a store. If you don't want to buy from Next again you could cancel the account after you have paid it off. This is a code for free delivery K8002.
If you go into store they can arrange to have the items delivered there and you just pay for them in the shop - think you can also have items sent to store from the directory, but not sure if you have to have an account to do this
You can probably phone them to order and pay then as well, rather than doing it all online
Thanks girls and thanks for the code for free delivery :) I can't get to a store this week, but am in an urgent situation and need a wedding outfit for Thursday. I think I'll give it a go and as you say, I can always cancel it if needs be :)
