Question:
Dazzling jewellery question
I bought a necklace a while ago which had some fake gems, plastic or diamante I'm not sure but they all glistened like a rainbow when it caught the light. I wore this perhaps too much and my neck started to go green and the metal chain went a sort of discoloued colour. I tried soaking it in vinegar to make it look like new again but it didnt work... it just loosed the gems and made them fall out and left the necklace smelling of vinegar!
My question is... what is this type of 'gem' called? so I could do a search for them and does anyone know any place that sells necklaces like this? websites or shops?
Thank you!
Oh also, I bought it from a shop in Leeds.. not sure what it was called.. something to do with the word Accessory perhaps... not Accessorize though... a cheaper version :) does anyone know if this store has a website?
Could it be aurora borealis, it looks like this
http://www.nextag.com/aurora-boreali...ry/search-html
You can find AB beads on www.jillybeads.com
1 Attachment(s) Thank you! I've not heard of them before, my necklace was only about £8 these sound more expensive, I've attached a picture to help
I'll have a closer look though they so sound like they could be what I'm looking for!
I would call that sort of gem Diamante with and accent on the e i guess X
AB is cheaper, i was just using that page to show you what it looks like :)
It is found in cheaper jewellery so might be worth googling, or some faux gemstones can have AB effect :)
