Question:
find me something to wear!
hi there, please can you find me something to wear for our anniversary dinner this coming friday. We aren't goint to the Ritz!, just a local restaurant and as i am busy working and being a mummy, i havent had time to get something to wear. There arent any clothes shops near my work, well actually just monsoon but i dont want to go in there again as the SA's bothered me 5 times last time!
I am 29, a 12/14 with a bit of a belly so have you got any outfits in mind? I really like those jumper dresses out at the mo but i haven't a clue how to accesorize etc so thats why i dont try that sort of thing out in the shop, IYSWIM.
any pictures of outfits appreciated thanks, as then i could order something online!
erm no piccies im afraid, but how about a jumper dress opaques (depending on the weather) and slouchy boots. bit of a no brainer really...sorry. alternatively how about a nice tea dress or something? a lot of the ones out are quite well cut to disguise a belly. sorry, im not helping really am i? im a bit
:sniffles:
How aboutThis? or this one with jeans and heels?
Or possibly this jumper with a bright coloured top underneath and a belt?
I'm loving jumper dresses or long jumpers at the moment as they're really versatile and easy to wear. I've been wearing slouchy jumpers (as long as a dress) over footless tights or over skinny jeans with heels or slouchy boots.
There are lots of options for accessories:
You could add a waist belt or tie a scarf/ribbon under the bust to give your shape some extra definition.
CiC has a lovely picture of a black jumper dress worn with peeptoes and snakeskin belt in her Style Diary (there's a link in her sig) which looks fab and is a good option if you want to go more glam.
These are a few other pics I've found that might inspire you:
From Warehouse, who have some gorgeous dresses online:
Or you could go for a really striking colour/design and wear it very simply with black opaques and either heels or ankle boots like this:
You could wear this Warehouse dress in the same way (and it's a lot cheaper!)
wheres that blue dress from?
i really like that grey warehouse jumper dress but cant find it on the website?!!
