Question:
Packing help?!
Ladies, I need some assistance. I'm going to Jersey on Friday evening til Tuesday afternoon. The weather forecast is crap :( (18 - 20 degrees and raining on the 5 day forecast  ) I can't for the life of me think what to pack?! I was counting on long sunny days in a bikini on the beach, and nothing more than flip flops and little dresses at night, but alas it just isn't meant to be.
So, can I have some suggestions please? On Saturday I'll be going to the Jersey Live festival where there'll be live bands and dance tents (and probably a lot of mud). The rest of the time will probably be spent mooching around the island, doing a bit of sightseeing, eating lots of food, and drinking. It'll be a pretty casual break I guess, so no need for heels or dressy outfits  (much to my chagrin  )
HELP!!!
Wellies! I would try and do a Kate Moss and wear wellies with shorts and short mini dresses and skirts, you may be chilly but if jeans get wet they are actually THE most uncomfortable item of clothing to wear. Do take a pair though if it does get reeeally cold and for times when you are sightseeing and want to be comfy. I would also take a pair of very comfy ballet flats for sightseeing and going out, and I would take lots of thick socks because wellies don't do much for insulating the tootsies. Also take warm pyjamas because nights have been chilly recently and the worst is when you are too cold to sleep. Also, for the mornings when you've just got up (if you ever go to sleep) take a pair of trakkie bums to slob aruond in. At night take some cheapo bling and wear a mini or short city shorts with tights if it's cold, (and if your enthusiastic wear heels,) and a strappy top. Thats about all I can think of so have fun! XXX
ETA: Remeber a woolly hat aswell X
Thanks Miss Mwah :) I'm not camping though; it's only a one day festival so I'll have to be uncomfortable for 10 hours max  The rest of the time I'll be tucked up in a B&B with hot showers, a comfortable bed, and full english breakfast!
Didn't really want to take wellies as they'll be a hassle to pack for the plane. I think I've decided on a pair of baggy combats with some timberland style lace up boots that have seen better days that can be chucked straight in the bin if they get muddy, with a vest top. Not super up to date or stylish, but I'm there for the music!
Footwear is my big problem, I don't do ballet flats (they don't suit me) and my summer shoe wardrobe consists almost entirely of flip flops  God damn british summer and lack of sunshine

I think those type of boots would be much better than wellies as wellies can easily come off your feet & get stuck in the mud - I've seen it happen at many a festival.
Could you still wear any of the dresses with tights, flat boots & cardigan?

I considered that Sanddancer. I don't have any flat boots that I would be willing to wreck if it's very muddy though.
I'm such a whinger; I let the weather spoil everything :o I actually wish I wasn't going now I know it's not going to be warm and sunny
