Question:
Ideas for what to wear on a night out.
Hi more help needed (I am so glad I found you guys)
I am off to a birthday party at the end of september.
It is not a very flash affair just in a pub but with live music, family and friends that sort of thing,
The theme is black red and or purple .
I haven't been out for ages and my wardrobe is a bit casual and mumsie as I have 2 kids under 3.
I would really like to look good but need some direction.
I am 5ft 9 and a pretty average size 12. My stomach had seen flatter days !!!!
So any ideas?????
Hi!
Well, considering it is still summer here and not so warm over there anymore (tweeds already???  :faint:), I will have to give you a different opinion but here it goes:
I love dresses and considering you are tall, the new 50's/60's inspired dresses or long tops around are quite funky and you could always match them up with leggings!
Saying that, and if you want to hide your tummy, why not go for some volumous yet sexy top, drainpipes or leggings and heels? :)
Just an idea but Im sure the girls will have others! ;) :)
I think Miss Sofia has covered most of my ideas!
H&M had a nice purple jersey dress in the other day, that was kind of 60s style so very 'now' and if purple suits you, it would mean you stood out from everyone else who will probably go for red or black.
As you said (in another thread) that it is difficult for you shop because of the kids, I would try to look at some online shops first to give you a good indication of what is out there. Also lots of people on here have style diaries (in their signature) which is another good way of getting inspiration.
