Question:
Jacket???
I'm hoping you ladies can wave your magic wands again for me...!
I have a plain black shirt dress in a jersey fabric with puff sleeves. It's a bit like this one in terms of shape

I was hoping I could wear it to work for a few more months by adding some sort of jacket/smart cardigan. So, firstly, is that a ridiculous idea? Should I simply admit that the nice weather is over and stick to tailored suits?
And, if that's not the case, what sort of style would you go for? I've been into town today, but I was really lacking inspiration and couldn't seem to find anything I liked/ that I thought would look right..

Keep wearing it!
Go for a hip length jacket, so that it has that skirt suit look about it. Even a wool/tweed could work because of the contrast in textures.
And don't forget yer brollie and wellies ;)
Oh no definitely keep wearing it! And when it gets even colder, stick a roll neck underneath in the colour of your choice, a great waist belt (loving chocolate brown leather with black at the moment), tights and boots, with a jacket if necessary.
Layering can be smart too ;)

Hit the shops again this evening and found a great jacket, not unlike your suggestion Chloe (just above the hip in grey/black marl wool).
Love the idea of layering too FP. Would never have thought of trying it like that, but just been 'experimenting' and quite pleased with the results!
