Question:
any etsy shoppers?
i've been recomended by another seller to sell a few of my handmade bags on etsy, so have put one bag and other items i've made on the site to trial. As the site is fairly new to me, I was just wondering if anyone is a regular and have used etsy before? As its an american site I'm trying to find out how popular it is in this country.

I love etsy. I found out about it through another bagger, Arietty, who sells jewellery on there.
I'd never heard of it before, but just had a quick look after reading this thread. There's some lovely things on there :girllove: and great prices too.
To be honest though, the fact that it's American puts me off buying anything... too much hassle to work out how much things will be in pounds not dollars, and too much messing around for shipping etc. Is there any way of searching for things only from UK sellers?
I just use www.xe.com for currency conversions. The only seller I've had problems with was a UK seller, the US and Japanese sellers I've bought from have been wonderful. I've even had custom jewellery made.
You can search for things just in the UK. At the top if you click on 'categories' in the 'buy' box then scroll down to the bottom then click on 'geolocator' it takes you to this cool page, where you can search using the map.
I really like etsy, original cool stuff....and gives me inspiration when I make presents for friends....!
Edited to add - I forgot my favourite bit - click on 'colors' in the buy box - its really clever.......
