So excited about new season!
Question:

So excited about new season!
Both the footy and fashion but we'll go with fashion this time...!
I went out to have a good browse with the OH last night. There were so many lovely things in every shop I went into, so I’ll give you all a quick round up!
Primark
The dresses really are as lovely as people are saying – the brown and navy floral print wrap dresses are flattering and quite generously cut, with nice thicker fabric. But it’s the shoes that I am cooing over! They had red and chocolate slams, some odd marble effect, scarlet, patent, almond-toe courts, some gorgeous slingback peep toe heels with bows (they come in patent red and distressed gold for just 12 pounds!) and they also had some very cute pointy pumps with large velvet bows on the front in patent black, navy, red and brown – only 8 quid!
New Look
NL had some brilliant A/W clothing in, all mustard, monochrome and red. I didn’t get a great look but they do have synthetic patent slams in cerise and teal for just 15 pounds!

oddly I have been disappointed so far with what's on offer.
I went into the big preeemark yesterday and came out empty handed - there was just NOTHING nice in at all. the only thing to catch my eye was a pair of mock-crock pointed ballets, at £8.
River Islands stuff all looked cheap and tacky this season.
Mango was far too try-hard fashioney with too much dogtooth and volume style coats. nothing that looked vaguely flattering for anyone aged over 15 and dress size larger than an 8 IMO.
I did go to Dunnes and pick up some beautifully cut and heavy fabric trousers for work though. they are wide legged and masculine but with lovely detailing and buttons. quite expensive for Dunnes as it is thier new SAVIDA range priced at £20+ but still V cheap for what looks like very good quality style.
still too many plastic shoes doing the rounds for my liking. picked up a nice pointed suede knee boot with a leather fold over knee and tie detail from Debenhams own range (pompeii) lovely but £55 so I'd better get some wear out of them when the rain stops.

Juggler, are you in NI?

oooh hack, I dig your excitement! You're making want to brave the wet to nip into NL at lunch time (nip = bus ride BTW!).
I must say I haven't been feeling inspired lately, just buying for the sake of it instead of something i love (terrible!) - everything seems quite samey in a lot of the shops. Hope NL will come up trumps! (errr, is this panic-buying before the Meet tomor :o )

I'm LOVING NL at the moment , I've seen loads of nice A/W clothes in there and their shoes are fab atm.
Need to visit again after pay day. i'm skint after OH decided to treat himself to some high tech multi media mp3 crap.. just think how many clothes I could have bought with the money
