do you have a signature look?
Question:

do you have a signature look?
that stays with you season to season? do you get a bit annoyed if it ever becomes high fashion.
I was just thinking about this as I'm really quite peed off that layering is going to be the "new" thing this year.
*ahem* I've been dressing like an onion (quote from a friend about my obsessive layers) since grunge hit in the early 90's. I dont want people copying what is as far as I'm concerned is my look, and worse I dont want people to think I'm just trying to be stylish all of a sudden - come on I've been doing it for years.

Apart from pointy shoes ;) no!

Not really - I've started taking photos of my outfits for the past few weeks with the vague intention of starting a style diary, and the one thing they have is common is, er, that they don't really have much in common
I have a few things, such as smudgy black eyeliner, chunky boots, Mary Janes and gauchos, that do survive from season to season but I tend to wear them differently or do different things with them, so I wouldn't describe them as signatures.

Yes. I've always worn my hair big and 60's-ish in the evening and worn flicky eyeliner. I've also worn 60's style mini dresses usually a-line with long sleeves. I have no style anymore as every shop has this kind of stuff where as before I had to make my own dresses.

Not sure I have a signature look regarding clothing but my main style staple, if you can call it stylish, is dark eye make up and messy hair.
I tend to dress in the style of "scruffy chic" which has been a term given to me on too many occasions :head:
