Question:
How to wear those sheer blouses???
Sorry, I don't usually come on here as I am not very trendy although that might change now I have access to Primark :p
I bought a green polka dot sheer blouse from there yesterday and am wearing it today with a plae green sleeveless top underneath but it doesn't look quite right.
How are you supposed to wear them? MrAWTF is licking his lips in anticipation of me wearing just a bra underneath on a night out but I would feel a bit slutty doing that :o (getting old!). Am I just showing my age???
I think it depends on your whole look whether or not you'll look slutty or not. If like me you have blonde hair and big boobs then its difficult to look classy with your bra clearly visable but if your boobs arn't too big and you wear a decent bra it can look great.
What about a little camisole if you are worried about flashing too much?
I wear a little vest under my sheer blouse and think that looks fine!
Probably best to wear a camisole as close to the colour as you can get, or maybe compliment the colour with another colour that goes well. If you wanted to dress it up you could wear something bolder underneath maybe? I've got a green chiffon cami and I've worn a leopard print boob tube underneath it before for a night out.
Bras showing under sheer blouses are one of my pet hates - I see it so much round here and it never looks good. Which is not to say it cn't be done, but you do have to be so careful to avoid looking slutty.
I wear sheer tops a lot, and always wear a little cami or vest underneath. The colour depends on the top - a neutral or a similar shade as the top for work, or something clashing for off-hours.
