Question:
Recruitment evening help
I have applied for a job as a freelance business researcher and have to attend a recruitment evening which will involve a short interview, a test and a presentation on the company. Should I wear a suit?
The role involves leading meetings and writing reports on them. It sounds quite corporate but the 'evening' part of it is flummoxing me. Any help would be much appreciated - it's been ages since I worked anywhere remotely corporate...
I think you should wear a suit...but definately funk it up a bit with a splash of colour and show them you got an edge and a vibrant personality. :D
Definately do not go for the boring black suit and white shirt...
Definitely wear a suit. I agree that black is boring and loads of people will be wearing it so try a different colour but nothing too bonkers like bright yellow as you don't want to blind them!
Good luck by the way!!

Black suits and white shirts are not boring ;) Well, not when worn with leopard print heels and edgy accessories :D
And in answer to your question, Naz, definitely wear a suit. I doubt that they'll be looking for anything other than smart and professional, and I'd always play it safe at interviews. Keep it simple but sophisticated - a flared skirt suit with a belted jacket and a feminine blouse or lightweight short-sleeved jumper would probably hit the right notes, for example.
g_k
I don't have anything to add clothes wise, but just want to say best of luck!
