Smart/Casual do help
  I'm off to a wedding this weekend (don't worry, it's not a dress for the wedding question! I've sorted that). On the Friday we are going on a cruise on the lake followed by a BBQ. The dress code is smart casual, and all the boys family will be there. They have said it will be a jeans and t-shirt affair but I don't want to turn up and be under-dressed or indeed over-dressed.
Bar perhaps smart jeans, cardi and a cami (boring but maybe necessary) or a wrap dress (too dressy?) I am all out of ideas.
Help!




I think what you have suggested sounds fine (smart jeans, cami, cardi) and add some nice accessories.
I think wrap dresses do look quite smart and if everyone else is wearing jeans you'll end up feeling over dressed.

Depending on the weather you could wear a little shift/babydoll type dress (that nice 60's print TS one you have?)
but with casual shoes?




What about wrap dress over jeans? Would be a bit of both and you can still wear a cardi if it gets chilly.
