Question:
My broken dress- the saga continues....
I emailed NAP about the broken zip on my dress and they've told me to return it and their quality department will examine it. If they agree that it's faulty then they'll give me store credit.
My worry is that the zip doesn't look broken and does up fine when the dress is hung up, it's only when it's on that it becomes a little b*stard.
So does anybody know what their quality department does or how they asses whether it's faulty or not?
I have a feeling they might tell me that the dress is too small for me and that is why the zip kept splitting, but if anything it's a size too big for me so that is not the case!
I am so worried about being £210 out of pocket with no berluddy dress.
Can anybody put my mind at rest?
I dont know Shiny, but you are entitled to a refund or repair as the dress isnt fit for use,and £210 is ALOT of money-dont let them fob you off,and make sure they reimburse you any posatge etc-they should be happy to if they are a company worth their salt!
is it an 'invisble zip'?
one of the ones where you can see it when it's done up?
if so, these are NOTORIOUSLY little bu&&ers...!
i have a couple on a couple of things, and they always go!
does it get stuck on a seam?
in fact, if you tell me exactly what the problem is, i'll tell you exactly what to say to them... (my mother is a tailor - she's ace!)

Oooh thanks Lady Muck!
It is an 'invisible' zip, although I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it.
It doesn't seem to get stuck on anything on particular, it just took poor Mr Shiny ages to get it to go up... literally a centremetre at a time. Then once it was done up the teeth bits came apart in the middle, although the zip tag stayed at the top (IYSIM)
It's very hard to describe and because it looks fine I'm worried they'll think I've just changed my mind on the dress (which I DEFINITELY haven't, as my Thursday night tantrum proved)
I only once had to return something faulty(ish) to NAP. I was a pair of jewelled Jimmy Choos which were missing a dangly bit. I emailed NAP saying that I wanted to return the sandals and that one of them was missing a piece, they sent me the standard email saying the quality control will check the item and I got the refund without any problems.
Hopefully they sort it for you. How very frustrating.
