Question:
Are Jeans acceptable attire for a man to wear to an evening wedding reception?
Well the title says it all really.
Me and OH have been invited to a wedding evening reception in a couple of weeks (a work colleague) and some of the girls in the office have been discussing what they are wearing.
I personally, as a woman wouldn't wear jeans but that is because I look forward to any occasion where I can get glammed up and get my LBD out!
OH on the other hand always wears jeans, a smart shirt, shoes and maybe a smart jacket if we go out (he basically hasn't got any trousers other than suit trousers).
Some of the girls were saying they disliked the thought of anybody turning up to the evening do wearing jeans.
I say, maybe not the women but maybe the men? But i'm not sure myself about this.
Forgot to mention that some of them are invited all day so their oh's will have suits on anyway.

Depends on the formality of the do, but I'd say smart, dark jeans would be ok?
We went to a wedding back in June and I dont think I saw one man wearing jeans. Trousers are more appropriate I think. Although they dont have to be boring, even shops like M&S have some decent smart/casual stuff in at the moment.
Personally, I would steer clear of jeans for such an occassion.
