Question:
how does your addiction to fashion affect your life?
I was just thinking of this earlier, and I would be interested to hear what other people think about it. Do you think that your love for fashion affects other aspects of your life, either for good or for worse?
Let me explain, I definately think I would have a much healthier financial status if I didnt love fashion so much. However, on the flip side, I think as a well dressed, stylish woman, I have achieved more than I would have if I wasnt so fashion conscious. I am a part time politician and I think I have gotton far in politics at a young age as I'm stylish and stand out from the crowd. I think it says a lot if you take pride in your appearance.
so, what do you all think?
Hmmmm.....
Well I wouldn't say I have an addiction to fashion, although I do enjoy buying clothes and I do spend money on them. I don't spend more than I can afford though and I still have a nice car and house, 2/3 holidays a year and some savings, so it's not as if I am having to sacrifice other things for the sake of fashion.
I work hard to be able to afford all of this, so I make no apology for it.
I do enjoy being nicely dressed and agree that it does make a difference career-wise, although I enjoy buying work clothes least of all!
I guess for me shopping/fashion is a hobby and if it was affecting my life in an adverse way, or indeed having too much effect on it full stop, then I would have some serious thinking to do
well, maybe addiction is the incorrect word to use! Im watching spendaholics on bbc3 right now, and I cant belive the level of debt some people get into!!
