Slutty Clothing
I have asked this in General but thought I would ask this question here also
Why is it that some clothing like short skirts and crop/bikini tops are regarded as slutty.
When ever I see a girl/women dressed up in such a way I always think how nice and attractive they look. Even these women who do not have the legs or the figure for such clothing and wear them anyway, well good for them especially if it makes them feel better
Why is it shorts or high heel shoes are not regarded as slutty
depends how ti is worn, what its worn with
fishnets and heels are seen as slutty but i wear them for work - albeit with rounded toe heels and also with a below knee flared skirt and i dont think (and have been told by others) that it doesnt look slutty at all - team them with stilettos and a short skirt then its a different story!

I agree, Blonde! For example, I think for a night out anything goes as long as you can wear it with confidence! :)

A sky-high mini with stilettoes and a cropped top with a low neckline is always going to look tarty - that's the purpose of the outfit. But a short mini with a relatively high-necked long sleeved top can look really cool and not tarty at all.
I see a lot of girls who look tarty even though they're wearing plain work suits - to me, tartiness is almost more in the hair, make-up, jewellery and general attitude than clothing.
As for short and high heels - same rule applies really. Although shorts don't have the knicker-flashing or pervy looking/groping-up-your-skirt quality that minis can sometimes have. Plus most (maybe with the exception of hotpants) are less overtly feminine (in this case, implying less sexy/tarty) - there is a more masculine/toyboyish element to shorts than to most skirts, short or otherwise.
