How to get oil stain out of jeans?
Question:

How to get oil stain out of jeans?
Hey everyone! I posted this in GC and someone said I should try posting it in here as I might have more luck! So here goes :D
I went for a cycle today and unfortunately I now have a large oil stain on my jeans at my right ankle where the chain was rubbing against it. (I havent been on a bike for ages and forgot that happened! )
Does anyone know of any miracle 'cure' to get it off? They're a pretty new pair and I don't want them ruined already! Are any of the stain removal things like Vanish any good?
Ta!

Stain devils are really good. They do solutions for specific stains :)

Excellent, thanks! So how do they work then? :o
Do you put it on, then put the item in the wash? Or does the stain devil just get it off straight away? It's shameful that I don't know this :o

depends how big the stain is and how dark the jeans are - I'd try neat washing up liquid straight on the stain and rubbed in and then wash as usual but if they're very pale jeans then go straight for a specialist stain remover... (and don't use dark green washing up liquid on white jeans... )

It's quite a big stain, but the jeans are pretty dark so it doesnt look as bad as it could!
I didnt know you got white jeans!
