Cream leather hip length trench coat
Question:

Cream leather hip length trench coat
While ambling around New Look, I spotted the aforementioned cream leather 3/4 trenches - double breasted and belted, I think (think they also come in tan and maybe brown and black). They looked quite nice (didn't get the chance to examine them closely) and I am, y'know, tempted.
But.... what would I wear it with? I'm struggling somewhat to get a handle on how to wear it - casually with jeans I can just about get, or to edge up a monochrome work outfit, but other than that, I'm a little bamfoozled. :uzzle: I also can't work out if it would work with coloured boots (probably the Next teal and purple knee high ones); s'pose it might with the right here and outfit :uzzle: x2
So any opinions/thoughts/suggestions ladies?
Might not get the chance to read this again until tomorrow evening, but all replies greeted with much interest!
:thanks:

I would wear it with a brown shift dress and metallicy heels, Or with Slouchy suede brown leather boots, but I'm not sure what outfit underneath

I like 3/4 length coats over cropped pants and boots. Would look good over gauchos or a sweater dress. Cream with burnt orange and khaki looks good, but hey, you're great with colours so no advice needed there :)
You could wear it over a knee length skirt, with opaque tights and chunky platforms. Hmmm, it's tricky without actually seeing it.

Hm yes, those ideas could work Chatelaine.
I think my problem with it is that I can't quite decide how to 'label' it as it were - it's not really classic, it's not something that could effortlessly funk up or dress down an outfit like (say) my bomber jacket, it's not quirky-cool... So that makes it hard to see how to work it into outfits.
I'm going to leave it for now and ponder further, but I don't think I'll get it - looks like one of those items that I like in abstract but which wouldn't really work in practise with my wardrobe.
