Anyone else finding the weather affecting their skin?
Question:

Anyone else finding the weather affecting their skin?
My skin looks awful at the moment, and I don't know how much this is due to the weather! I walk to and from work most days which is quite a distance and often I'm being battered by wind.
My skin's acne-prone anyway but it'd been ok and now it's a funny mix of oily, tight and dry, and covered in spots. Especially the whitehead kind. I don't really know what to use on them as benzoyl peroxide makes the dryness worse.
Is anyone else noticing more spots lately? Or just worse skin in general? I'm hoping that's all it is, as I've not changed anything else!

I just need some sun. And tinted moisturiser. I ran out and haven't bought more yet. I'm finding my thighs are really dry. Now that IS weird.
My lips are horribly dry and I'm having the devil's own time finding a decent lip balm. I've tried Dove (forget it), Norwegian Formula (not bad but I wouldn't buy it again) and Chapstick. At the moment, Chapstick with Lancome gloss over top of it, is helping.
Becka, I don't know what to suggest, other than to protect your face from the wind. That would be contributing to the dryness. I don't know what's aggravating the spots. The contrast between the damp, windy outside air and the dry, heated indoors can be really rough on your complexion. Are you drinking lots of water?

There's a good article on the problems of winter skin the new Boots Health & Beauty mag - it explains the cause of the problem and suggests products to try. I know you make most of your own stuff, but it might help with ideas. The article has sections on dull, dry, chapped/red, sensitive/tight and dehydrated/lumps and bumps.

My skin is being a right bugger at the moment, it goes from dry to greasy to spotty. I reckon it's definitely the weather and I think central heating doesn't help either. ATM I'm using Lush Imperialis which seems to be doing the trick.

My skin isn't great atm, it's feeling tighterthan usual, which I guess is down to the cold weather and the central heating in my flat.
I am sticking with my Dermalogica, rather than using different products to try and alleviate this. I'm going to stick on a hydrating mask when I get home.
I find the Palmers dark choc & peppermint or Carmex lipbalms sort my lips out and stop them from getting flaky.
